No person shall drive a motor vehicle in any public place unless he holds an effective driving license issued to him authorizing him to drive a vehicle of that particular category. The government of India has initiated steps to provide Unique ID to all citizens of India. NUIA (National Unique Identification Number Authority) was formed and authorized to issue National Unique Identification Number to Indian citizens. Nandan Nilekani, co-chairman and founder of Infosys Technologies Ltd has been appointed as chairman of the National Unique Identification Authority (NUIA).

Presently PAN card, Ration card, Voter Id card, ration card, bank pass book, pass book and title deeds of property documents, Driving license, pass port are used for the photo identification of Indian citizens. PAN card is used for the filing of Income tax returns. Ration cards are issued for issue of subsidized food grains and provisions. If a citizen transfers from one city like Mumbai to Delhi then this unique ID number is sufficient for all purposes.

HCC (Hindustan Construction Company) was awarded the contract to execute the Bandra Worli Sea Link Bridge by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC). Bandra Worli Sea Link Bridge is an 8 lane cable stayed 5.6 km bridge linking Bandra and Worli.

Toll plazas will control access at Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan Road on worli end and at Love Grove Junction in the Bandra end. Bandra Worli Sea Link Bridge cuts the distance and travel time from Mahim to Worli. Toll price is expected to be around Rs.50/- per four wheelers.
