Titanic dip known before 14 years!
‘Titanic’ is the first name that comes out when asked for the name of a big ship that got dipped in waters. This is the biggest ship ever made by man. No one dared to build a big ship that it after titanic got sink. But there is one amazing fact to be known about titanic.

A writer by name Morgan Robertson wrote a novel in 1898, ‘Futility’. In the novel, a big ship like titanic gets sinks in the ocean. But titanic got sunk in 1912. That means the novel has been written 14 years earlier to the titanic dip. There are many similarities between the ship of novel and the titanic. Both have got sunk in the northern region of Atlantic Ocean. In the novel, ship has got sunk after its departure from New York while the real titanic met with the accident while coming to New York. Both of them have hit the Ice Mountains with high speed. Passengers in both the ships have died because of shortage of rescue boats. Length of the boat in novel is 800 feet while the length of titanic was 882 feet. Both of them have three propellers. Titanic hit the ice rock at 11.40 PM in the night of 14th April and the ship of novel also hits the ice rock in the month of April that too in the night time. The name of the ship in the novel that exactly coincides with the real incident is Titan.

Magical (ROBO) Director Shankar – The making of films by Shankar | Endhiran Director Shankar’s Working style of movies

* Director Shankar has first worked as assistant director for 17 movies. ‘Mande Suryudu’ of director Pavitran is the last movie for him as co-director.
* Shankar has got a special team of writers. He tours Kottayam (Kerala), Kanyakumari, Chennai, Vizag and other places for story sittings. These sittings will continue from 7 AM to 10 AM. While main idea is being Shankar’s, he asks others for betterment. Story sittings are conducted again from 5 PM to 8 PM.

* Generally directors take 4 to 5 days for songs picturization but Shankar allots 10 days for a song.
* He handles artists smoothly. He gets the best out of him by being clear about what he needs from them. Also he shows them by acting once.
* Shankar’s working style will be very dignified. He behaves so cool as if he doesn’t even know about angry.
* Shankar doesn’t be particular about the schedule. He understands well and goes according to the situation.
* Shankar completes off any shot within one or two takes. He doesn’t like to repeat more number of times, shooting the same shot.
* Generally in the shooting of Tamil films, screaming and sounds will be more. But Shankar’s shooting set will be relatively calm though there are thousands of people working in it. Making will be totally in corporate style.
* It is compulsory to upload rush work that is done on that day, into his computer. He doesn’t even take the help of others and does it on own even if it is late in night.
* Shankar learnt Telugu perfectly at the time of shooting ‘Premikudu’. Now he can talk perfectly and fluently in Telugu.
* Shankar supervises the dubbing work of Telugu version also and checks whether a selected voice suits for that particular character.
* Once the script is ready and final, there will no changes done to it. He has changed only one scene and it is from ‘Bharateeyudu’. In the song of ‘Pachani chilakalu thodunte….’ there is a shot where 500 rupees notes are used to make toy ships to make float in water. That is actually the idea of Ratnam. Shankar liked it and used it in place of his idea.
* Strength of Shankar is that he is well acquainted with the city lifestyle. He is not much connected to the village background. Though is he born in Kumbakonam, he grew up in Chennai only.
* Shankar is interested much in music right from childhood onwards. He regularly used to go to the music functions arranged in the marriages. He used to play music by taking the stick and buckets and vessels in the home and thereby had to get scolding from his mother. He also used to see the old films strips that are found on the roads by the help of lenses.
* Shankar used to do small characters in the films of S.A. Chandrasekhar direction. He had done a full length comedy track in the movie ‘Seetha’. He lost confidence of growing as an actor when this movie has failed at box office.
* In the first remuneration taken as director, Shankar bought two golden bangles for his mother and a color television also.
* At the age of 18, Shankar joined as quality controller in a time machine production company. The rule of that company is that only employees with four and half years experience in that company can have their job permanent. But they will remove them from the job mostly after three years by telling some or the other reason. Knowing this, Shankar revolted against the management. For this, he was kept in Chennai central jail for three days.

Samsung 3D TVs features | Samsung 3D TV prices

Samsung has released new 3D TV’s on 9th March which were exhibited in the commercial in Oscar awards function. The company has released a range of LED, LCD and Plasma TV’s that are capable of delivering 3D technology. Every television set released by the Samsung Company on this occasion can be used in conjugation with 3D Bluray players, Home theater systems and 3D glasses. It released 27 LED TV’s which range in screen size from 19 inches to 65 inches. Some of the edge lit LED TV’s have the technology of local dimming. The process of lowering the number of pixels and lessening the back light in specified are in order to improve blackness is called local dimming. Earlier also this feature is present in LED TV’s but used to cost some space since it is located behind to LCD panel making it thicker when compared to edge-lit units.

Another product announced was new HDTV from Samsung which have nearly twenty applications for internet capable Samsung TV’s.

3D TV’s from Samsung are best used to watch 3D effects. It has tied up with DreamWorks animation which is notorious for Monsters and Shrek series animated features. Also 3D versions of Shrek movies are made available for Samsung TV’s in the near future.

C8000 and C7000 are the six new ultra slim series of plasma TV’s from Samsung that have 3D capacity. They are priced at a range of $1,800 for 50 inch PN50C7000 to $3,800 for 63 inch PN63C8000. Two Samsung 3D glasses, a 3D version of Monsters vs Aliens from DreamWorks are given freely with all the 3D TV’s of Samsung as a part of promotional campaign. Also either one of Samsung BD-6900 3D Bluray player or a Samsung HT-66930 home system is also provided.

Price of model C8000 is $5,000 for 65 inch and $3,500 for 55 inch and of model C6800 is $3,000 for 55 inch and $2,300 for 46 inch. Stereo dimming process is a new feature included in this model TV’s which works by the hardware embedded in it. Price range of LED-lit TV is $380 for 19 inch UN19C4000 model set and $7,000 for 55 inch 3D configured UN55C900.

2D content can be rendered into 3D by the special hardware present in all the 3D TV’s from Samsung. Plasma TV’s from Samsung are also available without 3D facility also. They are PN58C6500 which is 58 inch, priced at $2,400 and PN50C6500 which is 50 inch, priced at $1,600.

LCD TV’s from Samsung are in the range of $280 for 19 inch LN19C350 to $1,700 for 46 inch LN46C750.

Samsung e-Reader E6 with slider form factor | E6 – Samsung e-Reader Tech Specifications and features review

Samsung has released E6 e-book reader along with E101 which is of same kind. The company has made agreement with Barnes and Noble bookstore to grant E6 users, different kinds of e-books. E6 e-reader gives much competition to Amazon kindle and Barnes and Noble’s own e-reader, the Nook.

E6 e-reader is unique from other e-readers by having slider form factor. It is so compact that it can be used both indoor and outdoor comfortably. It has e-Ink display with a resolution of 600 x 800. E6 comes with an internal memory of 2 GB which can be expanded using a microSD up to 16 GB.

E6 e-reader supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and can easily be used as a wireless music player. Headphone jack is also provided along with built in speakers. Samsung’s text to speech facility makes it possible to listen to the content of the e-book aloud in the speaker. Writing on this e-book is facilitated by electromagnetic resonance (EMR) stylus pen. Price of the product is yet to be revealed by Samsung.

There will be a big fight in the climax where hero Rajnikanth, heroine Aishwarya rai and villain robo Rajni will collide. It is said that 100 robos will be coming in line to fight with Rajni. Director Sankar is taking the help of animatrics technology of Stanvinston animation studio for the creation of these 100 robos. It may take almost 8 months to complete the work of graphics part of this climax part. That is the reason, climax has also been shot while starting the regular movie shooting.
