Delhi Driving Licence : How to get Driving License in Delhi, Indias

Author: No person shall drive a motor vehicle in any public place unless he holds an effective driving license issued to him authorizing him to drive a vehicle of that particular category. Those willing to get driving license in Delhi,?? have to reach the nearest Zonal Transport office and apply for learner?s driving license and submit the following documents. This is a temporary license and is valid for 6 months. Applicant must be conversant with traffic rules & regulations.
Then the applicant has to appear for a driving test and qualify in it. Then the local zonal transport office authorities in Delhi give permanent driving license.
Age proof: ssc certificate/ copy of pass port/ Birth Certificate. Applicants Should be above 18 years for motor vehicles.
Residence proof: Ration Card/ Passport/ Voter Identity card/ Life Insurance Policy or Other authentic proof acceptable by M.L.O.
Permanent Driving license is valid for a period of 20 years or till the licensee attains 50 years of age, whichever is earlier.

I am a resident of Karol Bagh. My original driving licence was made in Tilak Marg. Subseqently it was renewed in Sarai kale khan because Karol Bagh was shifted to this zone. I need to renew my licence now but I have been told that I will again have to go back to Tilak Marg. Please let me know where should I go ?
