Nails are one of the most important organs in the human body. Many signs are been known from these nails like the health of the person is decided by seeing the nails and in the same way, these nails act as a cover that protects the bones that are there at the tip of the nails. Nails are formed from the protein called the Carotene which is also useful for the hair growth. Nail takes one year to grow 11/2 inch length and it takes 6 months for a nail to grow from the tip to the end. The food that we take and the ill health are resembled in the growth of the nail.
- The growth of the nail will be more in the young people as well as in the pregnant ladies than in the old age people.
- The growth of the nail will be more in the summer season than in the winter.
- For the proper maintenance of the nails Pedicure and Manicure are important.
- Put nail polish only on special occasions because the chemicals in them may spoil the beauty of the nails.

- Taking the carrot juice daily makes the nails strength as it contains calcium which is very useful for the healthy growing of the nails.
- The proteins in the broccoli, fish, onions, apple, cucumber and grapes are very useful for the blood circulation in the nails.
- In the same way in the milk, eggs, sweet potato, and in the leafy vegetables there is high quantity of vitamin A which is very useful for the healthy growing of the nails.
- Drink water daily to keep your nails healthy and beautiful and at the same time avoid taking the water if scars appear on the nails.
- For the healthy growing of the nails Zinc is very essential and it is available in the bean seeds, cashew nuts, curd, oat meal and in many more. So keep in view that the intakes of these wil keep the nails healthy and look beautiful.

It is better to consult the doctor if the nails are in bad shape without proper care and if they are broken.
