Documents to be submitted for renewal of driving license in Chennai, Tamilnadu: Form-9 and? Form-1& 1a (1a-if the applicant is above 40 years

1. Driving License

2. Age Proof

3. Passport Size photos 3 for book type and 2 for laminated license

Fee for renewal of driving license in Chennai, Tamilnadu:

i. Rs.200 for laminated type

ii. Compounding fee for belated renewal Rs.10 per year.

iii. For Retest and renewal, the above endorsement fees for each class of vehicle.

Condition for renewal of driving license: 1. Holder of driving License

2. Applicant should appear in person for laminated license

3. Re-test and renewal when Driving license Expires more than five years
