Aarogyasri, a community health insurance scheme being implemented in Andhra Pradesh. Rajiv aarogyasri health care trust is the nodal agency to take care of the scheme. The families of BPL (Below poverty line) are covered with health insurance upto Rs.2.00 lakhs per annum. The government of andhrapradesh shall pay the annual premium for the insurance scheme. The poor people have the facility to have their health care needs in private corporate hospitals in AP. Aarogyasri is cash less hospitalization scheme. The patients are eligible for only the diseases approved under aarogyasri and the hospitals recognized under aarogyasri. The patients need not pay any cash at the time of admission into hospital. The government will provide arogyasri card for all the eligible members of the family and the patient has to produce the rajiv aarogyasree card at time of admission into hospital along with ration card.
