HMDA ( Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority) is looking after the infrastructure development of Hyderabad surroundings.
Connectivity:
1. Road Connectivity : Hyderabad is connected by NH-7 and NH-9 and through state highways externally. It is well connected with internal ring road, elevated express way and outer ring road. The quality of roads is quite good and with greenery. Flyovers were built across the junctions. Outer ring road is proposed stretching a length of nearly 160 kilometres to ease the traffic congestion. The ORR is connected to the city with radial roads. Townships are planned along the ORR. Apart from these BRTS is proposed in certain routes.
2. Air connectivity: Hyderabad is well connected by air with other metro cities like Mumbai, delhi, Chennai and Bangalore. Internationally it is connected with sharjah, Singapore and New York through samshabad international airport.
3. Rail connectivity: Secunderabad is head quarters for south central railways. Hyderabad has got three main stations at Nampally, Secunderabad and Kachiguda. Apart from these Lingampally, Falaknuma, secunderabad and nampally are covered through the first phase of MMTS. The second phase covers medchal and bibinagar. Apart from this the Hyderabad metro rail will connect miyapur and chaitanyapuri in one direction and Tarnaka to silparamam on another direction which will make the travel time less and reduces pollution due to traffic. One railway line is propped along the ORR to have better transportation system.
With these developments expected to be completed within three years Hyderabad will be going to have the best infrastructure for one to live.
